Israeli husband-and-wife team Lea and Armin Gottlieb first began designing swimwear in 1954. Now, 50 years later, their company, Gottex, has expanded its business to include chic, beachwear accessories such as towels, bags,and silk scarves. Appealing to every type of beach-goer, gottex's 2008 collection suits any mood, with animal-chic, vintage, high society, and art-deco accents. The company is still best known for traditional colours, sexy cuts and creative blends of textiles apparent in every suit carrying the label. They can  also be found at Bloomingdale's, Macy's, Sak's Fifth Avenue, Lord and Taylor and Bergdorf Goodman.
